Vidya Saraswati Temple – Wargal/Vargal
Wargal is located close to Hyderabad, with 59KM away and travel time is 1hour 30min.
Best route is to consider outer ring road and exit at Shamirpet and proceed on Karimnagar road and you will find Kaman at Mulugu village after crossing Vantimamidi village.
Best time to visit temple is Vasantha Panchami (mostly it will be in January month), is treated as Lord Saraswati Birthday, most auspicous day.
Pligrims can visit any other day as well.
Temple is located on rock hill station and pligrims can take stairs and a lift is also available for seniors/persons with health issues.

Many pligrims visit the temple for their children’s “Aksharabhyasam” (“learning ceremony”).
Meals will be provided at free of cost to all devotees at the temple premises, under nitya annadanam.
Every year Vasant Panchami and Sharad Navratri festivals are celebrated at the temple. The Navratri mula nakshatram (“birth star of Goddess Saraswati”) is the most auspicious day for worshiping Saraswati devi. Special poojas are performed on this day.
Things to carry for Aksharabhyasam: One Kg or Half Kg rice, 1 big slate, 4 small slates, two salte pencils, flowers, couple of fruits. Pligirms can also purchase these outside the temple as well.
Aksharabhyasam fee is Rs 150, where puroiths will perform pooja and makes kids to start writing (learning ceremony) on rice initial and than on a slate.
After this, devotees will proceed Lord Gensha and Lord Saraswathi darshan and take the blessings, for which we need to take stairs.
And than after pligrims can take prasad and have free meals inside temple premises.
Weather outside is full of green fields and small lakes, it will look most amazing during sun rise (around 6-7am).
Note, be cautious/careful with monkeys at this places, can grab your coconuts/fruits from hands.
